What is Matching Gift Auto-Submission?
Matching Gift auto-submission allows employees of companies using your CSR platform to submit offline matching gift requests with ease, increasing matching gift program utilization and efficiency. When a user makes a gift on a nonprofit website's donation flow, 360MatchPro by Double the Donation can help the user discover their company's matching gift program and encourage them to submit their matching gift request. Auto-submission allows us to submit a matching gift request on behalf of the user to their company via integrations with CSR platforms.
What is a Corporate Vendor Platform's role in the auto-submission process?
CSR platforms/corporate vendor platforms build an integration with 360MatchPro by Double the Donation to achieve three core functions:
1. Retrieve matching gift requests from 360MatchPro via API and present them to the appropriate company as an offline matching gift request;
2. Return status updates on matching gift approval processes to 360MatchPro via API; and
3. Send and update matching gift program details for their client companies to 360MatchPro to enable the connection.

Companies with matching gift programs managed by CSR platforms that integrate with 360MatchPro do not experience any change in the way they see and approve offline matching gift requests.
What is Double the Donation's role in the auto-submission process?
Double the Donation's tool, 360MatchPro, already integrates with over 75 of the world's leading fundraising platforms, appearing directly on nonprofits' websites and donation pages. A donor makes a gift on a donation page with 360MatchPro integrated and uses 360MatchPro's search tool to find their employer from Double the Donation's database of over 24,000 companies. When a company whose program is managed by a corporate vendor 360MatchPro integrates with is selected, and the donor moves to the nonprofit's confirmation page, 360MatchPro's confirmation page plugin presents the donor with the opportunity to auto-submit their matching gift request. From here, donors enter their corporate email address and any other information required by the corporate vendor platform, then submit their gift automatically from this point.
The confirmation page plugin is what the individual interacts with instead of redirecting to the corporate vendor platform to fill out a matching gift request. 360MatchPro then makes the matching gift request available to the corporate vendor platform as an offline matching gift request for them to pick up from the API endpoint.
